India HIV/AIDS Alliance & GSACS

Care and Support Centres are the centres linked to ART centres which are the primary Government service delivery sites for managing PLHIV and associated treatment linkages. CSC is a safe space for PLHIV and a bridge to all continuum of care, support
and treatment services. In CSC, PLHIV can rest, enjoy infotainment activities and learn from their peers through knowledge sharing or support group meetings. CSCs work as
an extended arm of ART centres reaching out to clients who dropped out from
treatment due to various reasons and motivate them to come back to the treatment,
encourage for partner/spouse and family members testing, screen for TB and link PLHIV
to various social welfare schemes; also address stigma and discrimination.

Vihaan Program Achievements

PLHIV have been reached with differentiated care and

PLHIV were verbally screened for the four symptoms of TB as per WHO guidelines; among them, 8,377 were found symptomatic and referred for testing, and 350 were detected with TB and linked to TB treatment, with follow-up for TB treatment compliance.
